e-Rate Confirmations: Automated Rate Process
In this industry, strong partner connections are essential to the success of a business and the overall movement of freight. For brokers and carriers who work with many partners, we’re excited to introduce our new electronic rate confirmation process to help you move loads easily with your partners on and off of Rose Rocket.
Why use e-Rate Confirmations?
- Send e-Rate Confirmations directly to your partners’ email, where they can view the order details, negotiate rates, and sign the rate confirmation instantly.
- Forget about back and forths or having to chase down signed order documents. This new process helps save you time by automating these manual tasks and brings clarity to the rate confirmation process.
All partner relationships are different, which is why we’ve outlined three different scenarios of how the new e-Rate Confirmation process can be used:
- 1. Working with a partner where an e-signature is required
- 2. Working with a partner where an e-signature is not required
- 3. Updating the status of orders without notifying partner carriers
Scenario #1: Signature required
If you’re moving freight with a new partner that you’ve just onboarded, you have the option to send them an e-Rate Confirmation that requires a signature and only shows the city and state for each stop. Once it's signed by your partner, they will be able to see the stop information in order to complete the shipment.
If you're working with a brand new partner, remember to create a profile for them in Rose Rocket first. In the Carriers module, you can use our new Carrier Directory to search the over 1 million FMCSA approved carriers and add your partners in just a few clicks. Simply search using the address, company name, MC or DOT ID, and select your partner from the list.

Scenario #2: No signature required
If you're working with an established partner and have already agreed on the details of a load, you can send them an e-Rate Confirmation with the stop information without requiring a signature. You also have the option to attach the manifest details and BOL along with it.

The best part of this new process is that we meet your partners where they work, which is in their inbox.
When an e-Rate Confirmation is sent, your partners will get a new email that provides them with the essential information of the order, as well as a PDF attachment of the rate confirmation.
There, your partner can choose to sign the rate confirmation right away or view the offer details. They can click on the offer page without having to log in.
All actions completed on this page will update your manifest directly within Rose Rocket. Even better, your partner will immediately be granted access to the BOL, and an updated Rate Confirmation document (with full address information).
This automation will help you save time and ensure your partners always have the right documents when they need it.
When an e-Rate Confirmation is accepted in scenario #1 or #2, Rose Rocket will now enable your partner carriers to create their own lightweight Partner Portal, where they can send updates that will go directly into your Rose Rocket system.
Scenario #3: Dispatch silently in Rose Rocket
If you’re catching up on work and adding orders into Rose Rocket retroactively, you have the option to “Dispatch Silently”. This lets you update the status of shipments in Rose Rocket without notifying the assigned partner carriers.
How it works:
After you’ve created a manifest for your order and have sent it to a carrier, select the “Dispatch Silently” tab to update the manifest status in Rose Rocket.
Automated rate confirmations let you and your team save time by minimizing the manual follow-up required to chase down signatures and order documents while improving clarity in the rate negotiation process.
