Multi-Currency Tariff Support
As our clients grow, many are working with carriers and customers who operate in different currencies, or access external rating integrations such as project44 that return carrier quotes in specific currencies. As such, we have now extended our tariff engine to handle currency conversion and markup in your carriers’ and customers’ respective currencies.
Let's illustrate the new functionality an example:
You work with a carrier who operates in USD, and a customer who operates in CAD. You are able to get rates from your carrier via a tariff you have set up in Rose Rocket, or through our integration with project44. You generate quotes for your customer by taking your carrier quotes and marking them up accordingly.
Quotes generated by the carrier would first have to be converted to the customer’s currency, and then a markup is applied on top of the new exchanged value.
Previously, this conversion was not available within our tariff functionality. As such, quotes may be undervalued or overvalued due to exchange rates.
Note: When this is enabled, it will affect all existing tariffs in your system. For example, if you have a USD carrier with a tariff valued in CAD, that would now have to be adjusted back to USD before this feature should be enabled.
