🛣 Advanced Routing
Work with greater accuracy using our new Advanced Routing feature. Using a combination of best-in-class integrations with PC Miler and Trimble, Rose Rocket's Advanced Routing feature calculates the accurate truck routes, mileage, and live ETA on your manifests to save you time and money. Rose Rocket then uses this information to calculate Hours of Service cycles and pay statements for your drivers, so you don't have to spend time on manual calculations.
Here's what you can do with it:
- Per Mile Order Rating: Orders are rated per mile based on calculated truck mileage to create accurate quotes for your customers.
- Driver Pay Per Mile: Mileage estimates enable automatic per mile driver pay, reducing the need for manual mileage override.
- Planned HOS: See the likely truck route on a map optimized for planned HOS, equipment, single and multi-stop, tolls, and cross border preferences.
- Live ETA: Accurate ETA calculations that are updated hourly to provide your customers with reliable and accurate service.

Setting it Up
Our Advanced Routing feature uses integrations with PC Miler and Trimble. Here's how you set them up:
PC Miler - Integration Setup
On the Integrations page, go to the PC Miler tab to enable the integration. Next, head over to the Settings page. In the Customize Orders section, turn the ‘Order Details - Mileage’ to ON. From here, go to the Customers page to turn the “Rating Mileage’ toggle to ON and choose the Route and Data settings for your customer. Next, create a per mile tariff for your customer to pull in rates based on truck miles.
Trimble - Integration Setup
On the Integrations page, go to the Trimble tab to enable the integration. Use the tabs to set your Routing, Planned HOS, and Live ETA settings. Don't worry, your routing settings can be edited on a manifest at any time.
Features
🛣 Per Mile Order Rating
Get accurate per mile rates for your orders based on commercial truck routes optimized for toll, highway, cross border preferences.
How it works:
Customize routing preferences at the customer level based on time and cost preferences. Choose between Practical, Shortest, or Fastest routes for each trip.
💵 Driver Pay Per Mile
Exact pay per mile, every time. Driver pay is calculated using the exact mileage recorded by Trimble, so you never have to manually adjust driver pay statements again.
How it works:
Set up your drivers to be paid ‘per mile’. Manifest routes, drive time, and mileage is automatically calculated by Trimble, which flows onto your driver pay statements using the exact truck miles.
🚦 Planned Hours of Service (HOS)
Optimize for compliance. Plan truck routes according to your driver’s Hours of Service requirements with greater accuracy.
How it works:
HOS breaks and stop locations are added directly on a manifest, so you know the status of your drivers. See the accurate length of a manifest on our new Driver Calendar to help you plan Driver Shifts.
⏰ Live ETA
Have visibility into your freight with hourly ETA updates to help you manage your shipments and provide great customer service.
How it works:
ETAs are calculated every hour based on the driver's last known location. See both the predicted ETA and planned ETA on a manifest, and search for manifests that are trending late or early.
Share the live ETA with your customers using the Customer Portal or using e-Tracking links.
